BOB BEACH

Luckily, Bob Beach does have a day-job. He teaches history at Utica University and is [still] working on a PhD dissertation. When he’s not teaching, [endlessly] dissertating, or improvising, Bob can be found telling jokes at Uptown’s open mic, hosting trivia nights for Stage Time Trivia, and can even be found just running errands throughout the week. Bob is quite adept at improv sweeping, and he’s always willing to add a dash of broom or mop to any scene.

CORTLAND CLOOS

Cortland Cloos, a veteran of both the United States Army and the DSI Improv Comedy Theater in Chapel Hill, NC (where he was a member of the improv/sketch group Horrible Folks), has been performing both improv and stand-up comedy for the past 10 years. He’s hosted and performed at the North Carolina Comedy Arts Festival and performed at the Del Close Marathon at Upright Citizens Brigade in NY. Cortland hosts the Uptown’s weekly stand-up open mic.

CECELIA GUIDO

Cecilia is from Mohawk, NY and grew up loving comedy and writing, as her parents encouraged her to do improv in the living room and impressions of popular movie characters. She completed a degree at Siena College in math and computer science, but realized she couldn't go without writing and comedy. She has been taking classes at the Uptown since 2019 and she continues to perform stand up and improv in the area. In her free time, Cecilia records sketch videos with her friends.

DEVIN MAHONEY

Devin grew up in South Utica, NY, where he spent a good deal of his childhood watching the television shows and movies that inspired his love of comedy and passion for storytelling. Devin studied improv at iO West, UCBLA, and The Second City Hollywood and performed in both the Del Close Marathon and LA Improv Festival with his team Afternoon Delight.

JASON ZONGRONE
